Patrick B. McEneaney
Director, Phoenix Houses of New England and Florida

Mr. McEneaney joined Phoenix Houses of New England in 1999 when Phoenix House acquired Marathon. Previously he headed his own consulting firm, HR Diagnostics, and served as vice president and director of human resources for the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens for more than 20 years. Mr. McEneaney holds a bachelor’s degree from Queens College and an executive M.B.A. from Baruch College in New York.Send an email

 Jack Feinberg
Vice President and Clinical Director, PHFL

Jack Feinberg joined Phoenix House in 2002. He is responsible for the oversight of all Phoenix House programs in Florida.

Gilbert Acevedo 
Director Community Relations, PHFL

GilAcevedoGilbert joined Phoenix House in 1991 and has served in various positions in the Admissions & Community Outreach Team in the New York region, and continues to undertake outreach and community relations in the Florida region.

Gilbert received his Master of Social Work degree from Hunter College School of Social Work, and is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), as well as being credentialed as a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP).  Send an email

      Phoenix House operates Community Residences throughout the country for people who are struggling with substance abuse and diagnosed mental illness. Licensed by local and state agencies, our residential programs offer a structured, safe and supportive living environment where clients can receive comprehensive treatment. Please check our locations to see what programs are offered in your area.

      Phoenix House offers emergency help, evaluation and referral services, and short-term treatment for clients who are living at home.

    • Should I be worried?

      How can you tell if a teen is involved with drugs? There are no hard and fast rules, but there are warning signs. Learn how to spot the most common signs and symptoms of teen drug abuse. Click here to visit our Drug Facts section.
    • What's an intervention?

      When people engage in self-destructive behavior, they often don't realize that they need help. An intervention is when family members or friends confront a loved one about his or her addiction, express their concern, and offer suggestions about how and where to get help.
