Phoenix House Residential Program and Outpatient Services
At our Venice Beach setting, clients find the tools to achieve lasting recovery and rebuild relationships.
Located on Ocean Front Walk in Venice Beach, we offer comprehensive residential treatment to those who are trying to break the cycle of drug and alcohol abuse. Group therapy, individual counseling, and a variety of services are offered to those who are striving to overcome addiction, reunite with family, and achieve economic independence. A wide range of group sessions are offered that address recovery dynamics, relapse prevention, life skills, trauma, and anger management. In addition to residential care, outpatient and sober living options are available. Referrals to NA/AA meetings, job training and placement, and other community services are also offered.
All major credit cards are accepted. Payment options include the following health insurance plans: Anthem Blue Cross, APS Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Managed Health Network (MHN), as well as Cigna and Health Net.

Individualized treatment plans are designed by each client and his or her therapist, taking into account goals and provisions for continued employment and/or education.

In various locations, Phoenix House provides independent assessments and evaluations of substance use disorders as requested by individuals, families, schools and the Criminal Justice System.

Sober Living and Recovery Support
Our Sober Living facilities vary based on location and can provide either a safe transitional space before a full return to independent living or an alternative to residential treatment for clients who may need more than outpatient services.

Our adult outpatient services are a comprehensive array of substance abuse and mental health programs--all using evidence-based practices--delivered in safe, supportive, CARF-accredited settings.

Job preparation workshops, resume and interview assistance, and vocational rehabilitation services are offered through partnerships with the Department of Rehabilitation and Chrysalis.
Mental health professionals lead trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment groups for men suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Clients may participate in outdoor runs and hikes on the beach, yoga, strength training at Muscle Beach, cardiovascular exercises, swimming and much more.
Creative Writing Program
We offer poetry and short story writing classes, workshops, and presentations by writers and other guests.
Phoenix Rising Music
With the help of Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Kara DioGuardi, teen clients in our Phoenix Rising Music Program tell their stories and heal through song. In their own words, our state-of-the-art recording studio and expressive arts program exemplifies “love, vision, joy, and determination.”
