Phoenix House Santa Fe Springs

Phoenix House Santa Fe Springs

Phoenix House in Santa Fe Springs (11015 South Bloominfield Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670, tel. 562-941-8042), in operation since 1999, is designed for women with young children and offers three nicely furnished and newly re-painted dorms, an outdoor rest and recreation area, a large multi-purpose meeting/community room, mid-size meeting rooms used for group counseling, and private offices for counseling sessions.

The outdoor area, refurbished through Los Angeles’ Big Sunday volunteer effort in May 2008, features a gazebo and serenity garden which creates a safe and welcoming reflection/meditation space for women.  There is a children’s play area and space for family meetings of mothers with children. The site is conveniently located near major freeways (5, 605 and 105), as well as bus routes (Florence Avenue and Norwalk Blvd.).

The scope of services at Santa Fe Springs is similar to those described above that are offered at our women’s program in Monrovia, with one important difference – women may have their young children in residence and the program offers an increased emphasis on parenting, child development, and family counseling.  We encourage women to find solutions to their personal barriers to healthy life and provide them with all available resources for full recovery.

    • What's an intervention?

When people engage in self-destructive behavior, they often don't realize that they need help.
