Admissions & Fees

To enroll in an adolescent outpatient drug treatment program, or to speak to one of our trained staff about Phoenix House programs, please click on the program name above that interests you.

Phoenix House is supported with multiple funding sources. The exact fee paid depends on each individual case, personal income, and funding source.  Fees may be paid by:

  • Insurance benefits, with copayments determined by insurance plans;
  • MediCal and Drug MediCal for low-income clients (in Los Angeles only);
  • Government contracts for qualifying individuals without the ability to pay; and
  • Self-pay, with a sliding fee scale, based on income.

Our Treatment Philosophy

Phoenix House’s after-school treatment programs provide intensive group therapy sessions for teens weekdays.  In addition, we offer “clean and sober” supervised recreational activities on weekends.

Parental involvement is a key element of the program. Families take part in extensive education, therapy, and recreation activities throughout the course of the program, and work towards creating a home environment that will support teens in their recovery.

True Stories

Phoenix House alumni, including Antonio, Ben, Jessica, Naveed, and Pedro (whose testimonials you can read here) are grateful for the assistance they received, fully committed to recovery, and proud of the changes they have been able to make in their lives.  Their stories of “rising above addiction” are poignant and inspirational.

A Parent’s Letter

Every single person I’ve dealt with at the Phoenix House in the Carlsbad location is just amazing.  I also had a conversation with staff at the residential facility, who was very helpful and compassionate about our situation.  Each counselor that my son has dealings with reaches him in different ways and is so valuable to him.  He may not see that now, but I believe and hope he will in time. Never in a million years did I imagine my son needing this kind of help.  I truly feel so blessed, knowing I’ve made the right choice, with the right place, with the right people.  I am so grateful.
