Our Programs

Our Programs in California

Programs for Adolescents and Adults
Phoenix House is committed to protecting and supporting individuals, families, and communities affected by substance abuse and dependence. United by an unwavering focus on our patients, we deliver innovative prevention, treatment, and recovery management programs that advance mental, physical, and social health. Over 40 years of achievement underpin Phoenix House’s belief that—through determination— even the toughest challenges can be met. In the end, Phoenix House does what its name suggests—it helps those affected by addiction rise from the ashes of destruction and regain dignity, self-respect, and a sense of possibility.

Admissions and Fees

Phoenix House is supported by multiple funding sources. The exact fee paid for service depends on each individual case, personal income, and funding source. Fees may be paid by:

  • Insurance benefits, with copayments determined by insurance plans;
  • MediCal and Drug MediCal for low-income clients (this option is available only in adolescent programs);
  • Government contracts for qualifying individuals without the ability to pay; and
  • Self-pay, with a sliding fee scale, based on income.

Adolescent Treatment Programs in California

Phoenix House’s treatment programs give teens a chance to break with the past and take control of their lives. Our programs span the entire continuum of care, from prevention, through brief intervention, to short and long-term residential services, to outpatient programs, and to ongoing recovery management. Our residential and outpatient programs provide substance abuse treatment in a safe and supportive environment. We place emphasis on warmth, empathy, and compassion that bind the treatment community together. We understand that only by nurturing the dignity of those we serve can we hope for them to rise above addiction.

    • What's an intervention?

      When people engage in self-destructive behavior, they often don't realize that they need help.
