Mothers are the first to forgive and the last to lose hope.

Dear Friend,

Your mother is your strongest ally. She is your most faithful friend, and you count on her love and support to keep your spirits up.

The First to Forgive
Your mother held your hand when you took your first steps, and she was the first to pick you up when you fell. She was the first to say, “It’s okay. I love you,” when you made a mistake, and she has always believed in your ability to succeed at whatever you do.

This Mother’s Day, show your mother how much she means to you, by making a gift in her honor to Phoenix House. When you make your gift, you can also send her a special Phoenix House Mother’s Day eCard, with a message you can personalize just for her.

The Last to Lose Hope
At Phoenix House, we know that mothers can be a very important part of their child’s recovery, because they are the last to give up, and the last to lose hope. That’s why we provide mothers of sons or daughters in treatment for substance abuse with counseling and family visits, including weekly family meals where mothers can sit down with their sons or daughters, and give them the unconditional love and support only a mother can provide.

This Mother’s Day, I hope you’ll consider a gift of $25, $50, $100, or an amount that is meaningful to you. What better way to honor your mother than to help another mother be there for her children when they need her most.

With warm regards,
