Beyoncé Cosmetology Center
The Beyoncé Cosmetology Center, founded by pop superstar Beyoncé and her mother and business partner, Miss Tina Knowles, is an exciting addition to our Phoenix House Career Academy. Located in Brooklyn’s historic DUMBO neighborhood, the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center offers a seven-month cosmetology training program for adults.
Program and Eligibility
Students attending the Cosmetology Center are instructed in the theory and practical skills necessary to meet the New York State Cosmetology Licensure Exam requirements. Students also learn salon computer software and customer service skills while receiving vocational counseling, job readiness support, and placement assistance. Our Career Academy is an adult business and trade school licensed by the New York State Educational Department (Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision).
Our comprehensive cosmetology curriculum empowers students by teaching them valuable and marketable job skills that can lead to a lasting career. Our professional staff members help support each other’s accomplishments while setting and achieving personal, educational and professional goals.
