Changing Youth Thinking

Phoenix Houses' Changing Youth Thinking (CYT) program has been helping kids stay off drugs since May, 2002. An outpatient prevention and education program based in New York City's Harlem, CYT targets adolescents ages 12 to 17 who may be at risk for marijuana, alcohol and other substance abuse. The program is designed to meet the specific needs of today's urban youth and their families in New York City.

Changing Youth Thinking offers individual and group counseling sessions for kids, as well as parent education sessions and home visits to help families support their children's growth. Families can also access case management and referral services through the Harlem Community Center's Youth Future's Network.
