Are You Worried?

Are you worried that you or someone you know might have a problem with alcohol or drugs? While it's tempting to look for quick answers, it's important to look at the big picture. It's not the number of times in a week a person drinks, or how much he or she uses — it's how substance abuse affects a person's whole life — their relationships, responsibilities and legal standing.

Our assessment quizzes below may give you some basic feedback, but keep in mind that it's never possible to tell for sure without an assessment by a doctor, counselor or other addiction professional. Contact us at Phoenix House to get advice, a referral or to find resources in your area. Call 800-HELP-111 or send a confidential email to the Phoenix House team today. Click here.

Please Note: These screening tools may be used to provide an initial assessment of possible substance abuse issues but they are not intended to definitively diagnose any medical or emotional conditions. If you have concerns about your own alcohol or drug use, or the alcohol or drug use of someone you know, it is strongly advised that a doctor or substance abuse professional should be consulted regardless of the results of the applicable screening tool. Please contact Phoenix House to get advice, a referral or if you have questions about the screening tools. Call 800-HELP-111 or send a confidential email to the Phoenix House team today.
