Phoenix Houses of California has appointed Timothy J. Noonan as chairman of its board of directors. Noonan, CEO and president of Lockton Insurance Brokers, LLC, has served as a board member for the past 5 years.
“Tim has been deeply committed to Phoenix House since he joined as a member of the board and head of our finance committee more than five years ago,” notes Winnie Wechsler, executive director of Phoenix Houses of California. “In the position of chairman, Tim’s strong leadership, business acumen, and advocacy for community involvement will continue to play a key role in the growth and success of our programs in California.”
Wechsler underscores the value of Noonan’s leadership, particularly at a time when public funding is scarce and the organization relies more than ever before on private and corporate donations to sustain its programs.
Tim Noonan is a dynamic business leader that has led his company through unprecedented growth since taking the helm of Lockton Insurance Broker, LLC in 1996. He is also one of the top producing commercial insurance professionals in the nation and a recognized leader in the long-term healthcare industry.
His drive in business transcends to his charitable work in the community. He has been a strong, loyal supporter of many institutions, organizations and causes in Los Angeles, recognized for his professional accomplishments, philanthropic activities and service in the community by various non-profits including the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the ALS Association, the HELP Group, and UCLA Center on Aging. Phoenix Houses of California presented Noonan with the Public Service Award at the Triumph For Teens Awards Gala in 2006 where he was described as “the very embodiment of thoughtful kindness and generosity.”
